You need a food processor or or strong blender for this recipe unless you can finely hand-chop.

Ingredients:

1/2 large bunch fresh cilantro (stems and bad leaves removed and rinsed)
1 tbsp diced jalapenos (seeds removed), drained (optional)
1 large or 2 small tomatillos, peeled and quartered
3 large or 5 small plum tomatoes, cut into about 1" chunks
1-2 tsp of salt (to taste)
1 tsp black pepper
Juice from two limes, more if you want a milder salsa

Add tomatillos and tomato chunks to food processor and pulse until well chopped. Add remaining ingredients and blend until well mixed. Add salt and pepper to taste and mix well. Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.

Makes 8-16 servings depending on how much salsa one likes in one sitting. It's great for parties.
