China Slim Tea

Had anyone ever tried it yourself and lost weight from it?
Did you have a diet plan with it? Let me know!

Thanks =]

Nope haven't used it, but it basically just Senna. Which is great if you need some help in the bathroom. Not so much if you don't. Cue the stomach cramping & diarrhoea . Personally I wouldn't bother. It's just old fashioned laxative abuse in a fancy new packaging.

if you want to lose weight just eat in a calorie deficit..

there are no magic teas, drinks, food etc that will "speed" metabolism…

I'm guessing lots of weightless in your wallet, and that's about it.
  • It (senna) makes you poop a lot. That's about it. Also, you shouldn't drink it for many days in a row. Once in a while is fine, I guess, but I would not recommend it for weight loss or health.

Tea won't make you lose weight. Only a calorie deficit will- it's that simple.

Nope plenty of dizziness, stomach pain, & dehydration too I'd imagine...

It has Three different varieties of laxatives in it.
If laxatives (aka temporary scale numbers going down) is how you want to go about it, then go for it.
But are you ready to continually take laxatives?

(also somewhat effective as an abortifacient)

This is all you need to know. You put no effort into something, you get nothing out of it. There is no magic pill, no magic diet, no magic water, or food, or anything else that will consistently help you lose weight over the long-term. The only two things that will work, are lifestyle changes, and exercise.

Americans are so willing to try the easy way out, they will willingly ingest poisons to try and lose weight. Remember Phen-Phen, the Japanese weight loss pill, Meridia, etc. Seeing stuff like this on forums is kind of sad.

It's a laxative. It won't make you lose fat. If you want to lose a few pounds of temporary water weight and be miserable in the process, go for it. If you want to lose fat...eat a little less, move a little more. There is no other way.

Oh poop tea! I have a friend who's always drinking the poop tea. I don't think it has helped her weight at all.

No point in trying all this stuff. Eat is a deficit and don't waste money on most of these things and you will be fine. Deficit doesn't have to be huge either. Made up your deficit in your eating and your workouts.

I'm a licensed acupuncturist with Chinese herbal expertise (meaning, I learned Chinese herbal formulas in college and passed the national boards so I have the equivalent knowledge of a native Chinese herbalist). What everyone said here is true, there is no magic pill or herb (although I have ALOT of patients asking me for one) and the ingredients for this particular tea will promote bowel movements.

That being said, there are herbs and foods that help boost metabolism and suppress appetite. The problem is the effect is mild and, in some cases, have a negative effect if used in large quantities because they are usually stimulants. The Chinese weight loss formulas I use all contain green tea as the main ingredient with a few herbs that help to optimize digestive function. So, my suggestion? Count your calories, do your exercise and just add some green tea to your daily diet. It's healthy and has some proven benefits for boosting nominal metabolism.
