rest days

So ive been riding my exercise bike everyday. But was thinking do I NEED rest days? I am on day 8. Thanks

    Good question.

    I know rest days are recommended, just for your body and muscles to relax.

    I have been exercising 8 days straight as well. Been planning for a rest day but I've been bored so I have been exercising.

    Rest is essential for recovery and performance. If you're not doing intense workouts, then you don't need rest as often. If you're doing hours of cardio a day, you definitely need at least one rest day a week, just to give your body a break. Listen to your body and go from there. I know I need at least one rest day a week, but if you don't, that's fine. We're all different. I'd try to take off a day every two weeks or something and see how you feel.
