TDEE Activity Levels, can I get some advise please?

Hi All,

so Last year I fell off the wagon a bit and maintained for the last few months,

back on it this year, but again, Im concerened I've got my activity level wrong and I really don't want to fall at the first hurdle.

I use the in place of a roadmap settings, and done all of my workings out which Im happy woth to get to my TDEE to be 1656 (sedentrey) or 1898 (Lightly Acvtive)

with a 15% defecit, as I've got about 13lbs to lose.

Here's where I'm struggling.

I really dont know If Im Sedentry or Lightly active. I'm assuming LIghtly, but I'm not going to lie, I'm lax at excersise.

I walk 5 days a week which totals about 4 miles per day (school runs / work etc) I'll also walk at the weekend with the dog.

Other than that I'm in a desk job 3 days a week.

I'll try and do other bits and peices but that is my staple.

What would you say, Does that class as sedentry or lightly active?

Or should go right bang in the middle?
and is 15% about right?

Thank you so much for your help, .

I would say lightly active absolutely with your walking. However, if you're that concerned, you can opt for sedentary and simply eat back all or a portion of your exercise calories as you see fit.

sedentary translates to desk job and couch potatoe.
Seems to me you do more than that so you are fine with lightly active.
15% seems a bit much considering you need to loose only 13lbs.

15% gives me a little less than half a pound a week loss the workings out tell me...Kind of figured I'd go with that..

Thanks, looks like lightly active it is...I didnt want to over estimate how lightly, lightly was if that makes sense! :)

I agree, you are lightly active for sure! Almost no one is truly sedentary. Good luck!!
