Mango and Apple Salsa Side Recipe
Hey guys, thought I would share this with you, it's really tasty and can be used as a side. I normally have it with Cajun chicken. It's just a tasty alternative to veg or salad. It can also be kept in the fridge
This recipe serves about 4-5 people, this gives you a few heaped serving spoons per person.
You need:
- A apple (red or green, preferably red)
- Fresh Mango or Tinned Mango (I use a 425g tin)
- Spring Onions (just to taste, I normally use 2-3 spring onions)
- 1 red onion
- 3-4 tbsp Sweet chilli sauce (I use blue dragon, again you can add more to your own taste)
All you need to do is finely chop everything, put it in a bowl and add the sweet chilli sauce and mix, so everything is coated in the sauce and mixed through. If using tinned mango, do not use the fruit juice or syrup in come in. I then normally let it sit in the fridge for a couple hours to marinade and so you have less to do when preparing dinner, but this is optional.
Not sure exactly what the calories are as I don't have the ingredients to check. But it really is not much considering this is a recipe for 4 people.
Enjoy (:

Oh and you don't always have to add both red onion and spring onion but I think it gives it a better taste .0
