MFP app is inundating me with ads!!

The whole idea of the MFP app is to make it easier for people to log their food.
Is anyone else being inundated with Google Play ads on the MFP app? It's actually making it a struggle to log anything, because it keeps loading Goolgle Play up with stupid Candy Crush style games, when I try and click on a food item!!
It took me 5 attempts to try and log something just now, because every time I clicked, it loaded up a new game on the Google Play store instead!
I actually got so frustrated I had to go to my PC to log my lunch instead.
