Newbie Question - Sugar intake

Hey MPF forum
This is the first time I have posted here and I'm looking for guidance.
I over consumed on my sugar intake but NOT on my calories.
I didnt realize it was so easy to do (two oranges).
My question is - I know how to fix over intake of calories = you just work out more.
But does working out burn sugars? how do you fix this?
Thanks
- Mary

No worries on the sugar thing - especially if you ate a couple oranges and stayed within your calories. You did NOT over consume sugar. There are some things you can do to adjust your settings, if you like. Or, you can ignore it.0

unless you have a medical condition that you need to monitor sugar just ignore it. MFP sugar levels are set way too low and it's easy to go over it by just eating a couple of bits of fruit.0

You'll go crazy doing things like this. It's two oranges one day and they're good for you. No need to fix anything, just go lower tomorrow if you want. When it's fruit, I don't worry overmuch. Processed sugar is another story.0

You can custom set what you track-I ditched the sugar tracker pretty early on0

Don't track the sugar numbers. It doesn't really matter. I would only track your macros, proteins, fats, and carbs. And you can eat as many carbs as you like as long as it doesn't take away from your protein and fats.0

Like everyone else said, ignore the sugar thing if it's just fruit sugar. If everything else looks okay, then you're probably fine0

I turned mine off because I eat a lot of fruit for breakfast (dates, figs, peach, pear, pomegranate, persimmon, grapes etc etc etc) and I got tired of it yelling TOO MUCH SUGAR at me.
I mean now it just yells TOO MANY CARBS at me instead. Sorry that I eat a lot of fruit, MFP.0 -

Ignore it, period. I go over my limit with m&m's and ice cream0
