Wow, I just realized today - it's not just My Fitness Pal.
It's My Pal, Fitness.
Losing the weight is one thing. Maintaining it is another. Building muscle, yet another.
But through it all, it's your responsibility to yourself. Your responsibility a FIT self, to your own fitness. The FITNESS that helps you get up stairs, that helps you fit into your jeans, that helps you finish a race, that helps you look and feel awesome.
You do it for family, you do it for yourself. And you do it for FITNESS.
You don't do this to be fit. GETTING FIT isn't your pal. BEING FIT isn't your pal. FITNESS itself is your pal.
We all have a relationship with fitness. Sometimes it's rough, sometimes you don't want to look fitness in the mirror knowing how you look and feel, sometimes you walk away after a disagreement with fitness. But when you realize what a pal fitness is, you want to come back. You want to stick around - and not just for a few weeks or months at a time. You want to enjoy some good times with fitness. Eat a decent meal with fitness. Climb a mountain for fitness. Fitness is there for you. Fitness is ALWAYS there for you.
MFP, as a tool, is awesome. The MFP forums, as a tool, community and support, is invaluable.
But it's not just My Fitness Pall. It's My Pal, Fitness.
