Having trouble increasing flexibility?

I have been trying to become more flexible all over and have been stretching a lot. My arms are pretty flexible but... that's all .When I stretch my legs my feet tingle/ go numb and idk if that's normal btw? Anyway, I do these stretches, but I can't really push myself because my back is not flexible at all! like my neck, back and legs are so tight I really have trouble actually stretching them. Are there any tricks to this??

    Yoga is great for felxibility, but you should get medically cleared first if you're having LE numbness and tingling. That isn't normal.
