Anyone got one? Any reviews from owners?
Does it work with android devices, or is it a mac only device?
Any input would be much appreciated.

Has nobody got one of these?
Or has the thread killer struck again0 -
I'm interested in this too!
Nobody????0 -
I bit the bullet and bought one.
I've not figured out how to get it to monitor my sleep yet, but I'm enjoying this new toy so far. I've only been using it a few days so far, but after the initial set up, it seems to have been easy going.
I'll try to update the thread after I've been using it a few weeks0 -
I actually just received my fitbug in the mail. I read that some people had issues getting the orb to pair with their android device, but I had no such problem on my Galaxy Note II. I know I found a list of pairable devices somewhere (probably on their site) before I purchased the fitbug to make sure it would work with my phone.
After using this device for only one day I'm pleased with it but I can see where MFP users may find issues with it.
The main thing I use MFP for is tracking meals and this does sync over to fitbug's kik site, however they are just labeled "MyFitnessPal calories" which is unfortunate but not major. I have tons of recipes and meals here, so its a lot easier for me to just use this interface that I'm used to and let things sync over. Also be prepared to wait for the sync. I've not found a pattern yet but it seems to be several hours before MFP calories appear in kik.
If you use MFP for tracking exercise as well you're going to be bummed with fitbug. Due to the type of calories burned fitbug syncs and the way MFP uses it to calculate things it syncs as 0 calories unless you turn on the negative calories setting and then its even worse. I guess you could go in every day and delete the sync from fitbug and manually add in the correct amount from kik. Also same thing with the slow syncing this direction as well, although thinking about it they may just wait until the end of the day to sync exercising.
Kik seems like it has some useful features and it seems like they're in the process of adding new features so I personally plan to continue using MFP as a food diary and keep track of everything else using kik. I also find the whole site theme appealing (though I've read many comments from people who dislike it). I'd suggest looking at the fitbug site's FAQ section if you're curious about kik. It's hard to really get a feel for it without signing up but they have some videos there of how to do things that might give you some insight. Here's a link because I found it really hard to navigate their site to find actual information. https://customercare.fitbug.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/List
I hope that's some helpful bits of info0 -
I just started using my fitbug ORB and I'm starting to see issues with it. For one the wristband is not accurate AT ALL and that's understandable. I get real results using it at the waist and I am happy with that. However I walked roughly 1000 steps since this morning and the fitbug orb said I have walked ZERO steps. I looked at the app and it states " last updated less than a minute ago". I restarted my phone (samsung galaxy s3 4.3) more than twice, resubmit my steps more than I can count. What am I doing wrong?
I am wearing relax fit jeans and it's pretty snugged by the waist. The ORB is mounted right by the hip bone (not wearing a belt)
Yesterday It did a fabulous job counting steps. BTW the UI is very clean and the fitbug is really nice and has potential0 -

I've noticed that too on occasion. I think it has something to do with switching on and off streaming mode but I'm not really sure. If you push and wait for the notification that new data has been added and go to the history tab the total for the day seems accurate there. On days I don't use the streaming feature I've not had problems with the daily step count in the app.
Also I don't trust that last updated less than a minute ago message. It lies..
I've run into another bummer issue. If I leave the beacon feature on and try to use my phone to play music via bluetooth in my car it because really choppy like a CD constantly skipping. It's something to do with this app because once I turned off that feature it worked like normal.
I'm really not impressed with the app. Site yay. App nah.0
