Tonight we are having a Sams Choice spiral cut boneless ham. It is pre sliced.....the label says 150 calories for 3 ounces. I do not have a food scale and I am trying to determine how many ounces one of the slices are??? If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.

Look on the label and see how many servings in the whole thing. If it's five then eat 1/5 the amount of the whole thing. Sometimes it takes a little eyeballin'.0

Thanks! I tried that, lol It says amount of serving varies..ugh...each ham is not the same weight so that is why it says that.0

OR
One pound of meat, like ground turkey equals 16 ounces.
Divide the package into 4 portions and each will be about 4 ounces. Once cooked and fat is drained off it will be even closerto 3 or 3.5 ounces. Jus eyeball what it looks like for future reference. Same for a steak: IF it is a one pound porterhouse steak about 3-4 ounces will be bone and 12 or so meat. After cooking it is a bit less due to fat dripping out.
And actually I heard that the deck of cards size referenced above is 3 ounces-NOT 6...

Lol! Maybe take the weight and divide by 3 ounces to see about how many servings. Then eyeball it that way. They sure made it difficult for ya! Good luck!0

3 oz is about the size of the palm of your hand0

Thanks everyone! :flowerforyou: The deck or cards or palm of your hand is good to know....only thing is ham is not as thick as say a chicken breast. It is thin slices so bigger in size, but thin...so maybe a slice IS 3 ounces? ashlee...I thought of that just now too..the ham is 3.23lbs...round up to 3.25 would equal 52 ounces divided by 3 ounces would be 17 servings...so I will have to see how many slices are there after I get the packaging off0
