MFP exercise calories -v- heart rate monitor calories

For the past few weeks I have been logging my daily walk to and from work on MFP using their suggested calories. I walk for about 40 minutes each way at about 3.5 miles per hour and MFP suggests that I am burning about 160 calories for each journey.
This morning I wore my Heart Rate Monitor to see how accurate MFP's calorie suggestions were. The results were that my journey took 37:44 minutes and I used 245 calories.
My question is that given the considerable difference in results, should I be removing the amount of calories I would have used in 37:44 had I done nothing from my heart rate monitor results before I log my exercise on MFP?
