Calories vs. Carbs vs. Protien

I have been using this site for just a week and I am extremely impressed.

I have set goals and have been focusing on the calorie intake. I have met the calorie goals but not always the Carb and Protien goals.

I understand the benefits of keeping carb in take down. My question is how does going over the Protien effect the abilitity to lose weight.
