I eat more protein (g) than my body weight. Is it bad?

I heard the amount of protein you should eat is equivalent to your body weight. Mine being 115lbs. So technically I should be eating 115g of protein or maybe 90-115 for a safe number. But sometimes I exceed this! I'm worried that the excess protein might turn into.. fat. Or what? I've looked up different posts and articles but I really don't know what to believe.

Unless you have problems processing protein (kidney issues, etc) then it won't be a problem and won't affect your weight loss as long as you are maintaining a calorie deficit.0
