Ab workouts

I have recently decided to add an ab workout day into my routine. Before I was mainly just doing the ab stand and the ab machine. I am really hoping to start loosing some of these inches and making my abs strong. What does your ab workout look like?

For my abs I do, three days a week, side planks, leg rises, sit ups, ab twists and elbow to knee crunches. I do each exercise for around 30 reps without any rest between, and three sets in total. Takes like 10 min. On days I don't do those I do two to three sets of hanging leg rises, not going as hard as in other workout tho. That's my routine. ^^

Planks are always good. And if they get "too easy" add in the side plank or bringing your knee up to your elbow while in the plank position, also trying walking planks where you stay in a plank position and walk your arms in a circle or straight line back and forth. I have a trainer that likes to do this tower workout that I like. The trainer uses the square base of the step benches you can find at gyms with classes. Build a tower of about 5-7 of them. Sit on the ground with your feet up and pretty much you build the tower from one side to the other using both hands on the square so you really have to turn. Bicycle crunches are good too.
