It amazes me how I burn less calories now, 23lbs lighter ,doing the same cardio.
For example, 2 months ago I was burning about 490 calories when doing Turbo Jam cardio mix 3. This morning I burnt 304 calories doing the same dvd. That's almost a 200 calorie difference.
As banks posted in a previous HRM thread, I'm also addicted to it wearing mine. I have to wear it every time I exercise or I just don't feel right.

Have a great day everyone and don't forget to get your exercise in today! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

YES!!! And it is not so much that we burn less because we weigh less but also that we are getting fitter so our resting heart rate is lower. I did a belly dancing video this morning for 50 mins, broke a sweat but only burned 186 calories:ohwell: But that is ok, sometimes I struggle when I have to eat a lot. Have a wonderful day!!! :flowerforyou:

I've worn my HRM walking with a backpack (around 10 pounds) and without. The calorie burn difference is alarming.

A few months ago, I bought a set of 10 pound handweights, and had to carry them home a few blocks. I couldn't believe how heavy they felt. No wonder I was so tired the whole time I was heavy. It's a real eye-opener.

yes, i have notice that as well, its really good to put everything in perspective, thinking about how much stress you put on your heart and body when your overweight, its' quite amazing

I guess that is why the last 10 lbs are always the hardest.
