CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid)

Has anybody used CLA and if so, what kind of results have you gotten? My son-in-law told me I should use 3,000mg per day to help in my exercising to build muscle mass and lower my fat mass. I am 55 years old and have 110 pounds to lose. Is this safe to use? I do not have any major health issues. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
