Cold Feet and other health probs.

I've lost a lot of weight, in doing so I was told of the wonderful health benefits I would experience. This has not been the case. I suffer from depression, fatigue, constant coldness, bruising and a small amount of hair loss. My diet is ok, I eat a lot of fresh food etc, I will see my GP about this.
Has anyone else experienced this?

It does sound like you're undereating, we're constantly told eat 1200 a day and you wont go in to starvation mode, but unless you're quite short it's probably not enough. I'd also suggest taking a multivitamin if you don't already because hair loss if generally a sign of some deficiency. Going to you doctor is definitely a good idea though as there's lots of stuff it could be and if it's not to do with eating you need to get it sorted, good luck!0

well my first thought was about being cold, either you lost too much weight in a short amount of time, or you eat to few of calories, because this happens to me, Eat more whole foods, more wheat, eat 4-6 tiny meals instead of 3 large meals so you dont crash0

Those are all symptoms of under eating. You've lost a lot of weight, it's likely you under ate for a long long time.
Under eat for a long enough period of time and you can impair your thyroid function (and other hormones), and an underactive thyroid also will give you these symptoms. The only treatment for underactive thyroid is a synthetic prescription taken daily.
Definitely see your doctor. An inexpensive blood test is used for diagnosis, and if you have to take a hormone replacement, it's only five dollars per month.0 -
Definitely worth visiting your doctor. I experience those symptoms (not hair loss) when my iron levels are low.. a few years ago they were so low I needed a blood transfusion. When I stop taking my iron supplements for a week or two, those symptoms all come flying back, couple this with your body being in a caloric deficit and you can really set yourself up for some trouble.

We're just saying, you might have been.
People who lose 92 pounds generally cut their calories to 1200 calories for a long time.
1200 calories is way too low for more than a month or so. Not saying you did that, just saying I've seen it a lot in my years here.

aside from under eating, it could also mean that your blood pressure is too low. It sometimes happen, especially if you have lost a lot of weight.
Are you getting enough salt? I have to make a real effort to hit 1500, left on it's own it would be around 300 mg of sodium a day and then my blood pressure crashed frequently and I'd be sitting there shivering which is a bit of a feat 'cause I live in the tropics.0 -
Those are also all signs of thyroid problems. Have your doctor do a full thyroid panel including Total T3, Free T3 and Reverse T3.0
