Roast dinner

I've read many posts and have learnt from them not to deny myself anything in being healthier and happier. I came back to university for the start of the new term and naturally my mum has packed me off with some homemade dinners. Today was the Christmas roast dinner she made me and it is HUGE! I've altered my daily diet so I eat 'little and often', that way I don't feel too full and naturally some of it won't be that good for me.

The task: priority.

I wasn't trying to avoid fat or carbs but couldn't fit it all in. I started with the vegetables, then the turkeyt, some stuffing and my God I can't fit the rest in! I don't feel unsatisfied, if anything I wish I'd stopped a little sooner because I'm now pretty full and still have food on my plate- really hate waste!

What do you eat for roast dinners or prioritise if someone else cooks for you? :)

(Note, I didn't realise a dinner was made up otherwise I would have asked for a smaller portion!)

I prioritize the meat - I have a hard time hitting my protein macro. Then veg, then everything else. I find if I fill up first on things I enjoy but don't love I generally don't have a problem when I get to the things I'd usually want to overeat. Like dinner rolls, or cornbread.

    I won't eat anything I don't like - I don't have enough calories to waste on that ;P
