I am an 47 year old obese woman with a BMI of 54.0
I am 5'6...
Start of weight was 352lbs
Goal weight is 250lbs
Lost 13 lbs but went back to 342lbs
Ive had weight losses with Atkins before in the past and I am concerned my metabolisum
isnt right since my hysterectomy 3 yrs ago, which has caused alot of health problems including an onslaught of severe joint pain that walking can be very painful most everyday, even at home its hard to bend and move around,I have been bedridden almost 3 years.
I am on day 13 of Induction, Ive cheated twice and have not stopped beating myself up over it,
I read on Atkins.com forums a few years ago that if one can not endure 2 weeks of induction without cheating then its unlikely anyone can succeed.I have had succeess before & shouldnt let this bother me but it does, its discouraging.
When I signed up here I set my weightloss at 2lbs per week, well I was given an amount of calories of around 1800 & over per day now its down to over 1700, I am not sure why this was changed, anyway I log my foods and yet at the end of day the calories are still much lower then the allowed. Also the database of foods I am concerned that the carbs are not right. I should record my own carbs seperately I assume, although I count them with every meal I cook, I drink alot of water, have one cup of coffee mornings with tsp sugar/tsp creamer, I dont use any artificial sweetners as I had cancer before-hence the hysterectomy and really dont want to eat anything processed at all, although I have to sometimes.
Concerning the calories if you are on Atkins which is most important the carbs right? which is 20-25. how much calories should I be getting?
Anyway, I want to do this right all around, no cheating, keeping track because it helps me focus on being honest and real not only with myself but with others.Any advice will be appreciated.
