What progress can be expected within 6 months?

I have a holiday in 6 months and wanted to know what realistic changes I can expect to see by then. I would like to see pictures (comparing before and at 6 months) if possible, particularly those who have combined both cardio and strength training (5-6 sessions a week) with healthy eating. I have an overall goal in mind but I doubt it will be achieved in 6 months (particularly the strength aspect - I could probably reach my goal weight by then but definitely not my goal shape). Please indicate what exercise you undertook to achieve your results.

Cheers
:)

In 7 months I lost 25kg (80kg to 55kg) went from an Aus size 14 to a 6 and changed my shape completely.

I lifted weights 4 times a week. For the first 3 months I power walked before breakfast for 45 minutes 5 days a week and did 3 cardio interval training sessions a week after my weights workouts. After the first three months I barely did any cardio.

I had a huge lifestyle change and ate to a meal plan for 6 days a week, predominantly wholefoods, very little processed food. I had a "cheat" day once a week but didn't use this as a binge session - I didn't feel deprived during the week and generally made healthier choices, but different choices

    started late 2010

I've since started competing in bodybuilding comps - gained a lot more muscle and size. For comps I'm a lot leaner too

  • Wow! That's amazing! I didn't expect that such a physical difference could be possible in a reasonably short period of time but you've definitely given me the inspiration I need! Well done!
