I had a spike this week but today it was back to what it was before. Well before my birthday. I weighed myself the day before and the day after. I gained half a pound (OK I know it's not that much) but I still haven't lost it and it's been almost 2 weeks. :indifferent:

Part of it could be because I"ve gotten lazy on working out. I only walked yesterday (my shoulder was hurting me to bad to do anything else) but I was back at it this morning. (Though my should is now regretting what I did. )

Great info.....all stuff I had never heard before. Thanks!

Question: Does this mean we should drink extra water on "spike days" to flush the fat?

That could be as simple as inflammation from walking so far. It won't be fat.

thanks, very well put .. i knew about the water / glycogene 3 to every 1 gram .... but didn't know the full story about energy storage ... very helpfull thanks for posting :) I always gain weight when I eat bread silly amounts of weight like 6 lbs in a week .. then the following week will lose the same kind of weight when I stop eating bread .. I made the connection to bread ... not stored energy :)

I always had a vague idea about what water weight was, but I had never fully understood it until now. Thank you for this!

I can relate for sure, worried a bit when the scale showed I was 2-3 pounds heavier. now I know why.
