When you say "videos" I'm assuming you are looking for a workout DVD...there is really no such thing for weight lifting. If you want to watch various lifts for form just YouTube the lift.

It is important that you follow and actual program to get the results you are looking for...too many people waste tons of precious time doing their own thing and never get the results...they simply don't have the requisite knowledge to properly program their own routine. New Rules of Lifting for Women is a good beginner program and a good read in general, even if you don't end up following the program. Mark Rippetoe"s Starting Strength is an outstanding beginner program and is for anyone, but the reading is definitely geared towards boys getting into football, etc as that's when many of us pick up a barbell for the first time. Strong Lifts 5x5 is another good program and is very similar to Starting Strength save for the rep range.

Your program should focus primarily on the compound lifts...these are the foundation of pretty much any lifting routine from beginner to advanced. It should also involve progressive overload...that's another area that people going on their own neglect...they sit there with the same weight for weeks on end...you have to progressively load your barbell to get results.

Buy the book "The New Rules of Lifting for Women". He explains the "why" and the "how".
