Calories remaining means that is how many you have left to eat to meet your goal for the day.
Your calorie deficit is already built into the goal amount, you do not and should not eat under it.0 -
The only thing I can think of is that you didn't set your profile to lose weight. I'd check your goals again.0

So this would also assume you eat back exercise calories (if you're maintaining), right?0 -

It does mean that, both when losing and when maintaining0 -
1 kilo = 2.2 pounds, 180 calories x 35 days = 6300/3500 = 1.8 pounds.
I'd guess you're set to maintenance.0 -
What they are telling you is that you are allowed that much more food if you want to eat it. I seldom eat all my cals because i would be stuffed on most days. They give you a GOAL cal intake, then as you add your exercise they give you more cals to eat to replace the ones you have used during your exercise. Depending on the amount of exercising you do per day is the amount of your NET cals. They say to eat all of your NET cals. This does not work for me. I will eat into my net cals but not all and i have been losing. Also make sure how u set your goals. Most people are sedentary and don't realize it. Also don't add your workouts in the goal settings. Add them as you do them. MFP will assume you are doing them even if you don't and that will cost you in the long run. I have just recently got all this figured out and have been at it for almost 4 months. Hope this helps you can add me if you like also. :flowerforyou:1
