Hey guys im 5ft 7 male, 15.4 stone looking to shed fat% as im at about 27% or so. Started 5x5 a couple weeks ago and now the pain is easing from squats, was wondering if running or insanity would aid this. The sooner it goes the better. I know nutrition is key also but have already got a plan going for this. I would like to have the muscly look when finished. I know im a way off but want to try and achieve this within the next 4-5 months if possible for summer and my new baby thats on its way. really motivated to do what it takes. just need some guidance. thanks in advance

if these are my only two choices i'd probably go with 5x5 and running. assuming you have your calories in order, of course0

Hmm well can't upload a pic for some reason. Will say I play football and am relatively fit just high fat%. I run 5-6 miles as kinda max about 9:30 sec a mile if this helps0

If you're hoping for muscles, it's important that you do not cut too fast. 5x5 is a fine strength training program. It will do a lot to help you maintain your muscle mass.
You can mix up your cardio, if your primary reason for cardio is to burn calories. There is nothing magical about insanity or running.0 -
Well its fat loss also... so I mean of running how far or time do you recommend on top of 5x5??0
