macros and things that irritate me

so i want to just vent a couple things. as a trainer i HATE HATE HATE hearing people in the approach of im cutting all carbs, or no fat.

the body needs each of these macros just the proportions vary per person.
for instance, some people respond better with more carbs or less carbs but NO CARBS IS NOT OKAY.


recently i was doing about 140 protein 35 fats and over 200 carbs.
after seeing how i felt with training i decided to make a switch.
i upped my protein to 160-170
dropped my carbs to 150
fats now around 50.

and my body is responding great!
you have to play around with macros no one responds the same way.

do i eat bread . yes. do i fear fruit NO.
if i want more carbs ill eat them especially on leg days.

also on sugar, natural sugar is fine.
its in fruit and i love fruit, i am not cutting that.
its not coming from fake things like cupcakes and ho hos.

anyways for those who are wanting to get rid of something all together thats on you, but your body needs these macros for various reasons.

    thanks its just frustrating. especially when i work with a trainer who is telling his clients to not have carbs.
    there is nothing wrong with lower carb intakes, insulin isnt spiked as much and yes over weight people do respond to this.
    also body type is a big factor.


    but people who cringe at hitting 100 g?
  • I heard from a local body builder that if you don't consume carbohydrates, fats, or protein you will lose a TON of weight!!
    I believe it is called alcoholism... LOL
