I've read Mark Laurens You are your own gym, however, I find bodyweight workouts extremely difficult. Like the tricep push up, I can't seem to lift my own bodyweight, I can do regular push up, but not tricep push up, not even a single tricep push up. I'm 5'3 118lbs and starting to weight train. I only have two 4 lbs dumbbells and a 5lb resistance band, I can't invest too much on equipment. Any tips on starting to do bodyweight training? Thanks You! :)

    Hi,

I went to my first Power Pump class yesterday and all we used were 2x dumbells and a bar, but trust me we worked hard with only those.

Watch a couple of Body Conditioning or Power Pump videos - they may point you in the right direction.

I think you just have to keep trying. The more you keep pushing yourself, the stronger you'll get. There are so many different types of exercises that I'm sure you can find enough that you can do full sets of to fill your workout time and just keep practicing the harder ones

No familiar with power pump, is it available on youtube?

After failing my first attempt in doing tricep push-up I always get discouraged and tends to not continue trying, I guess I need to practice and continue to work on it.
