I apologize in advance if this has already been posted, but i just need some quick tips. I am 6'1" and have over 100 lbs to lose.( I', fluffy..not fat ) For my taller friends out there, can you offer any suggestions on really great workout gear/sports bras? I have a few tanks from LB, but I have a HARD time finding a SUPPORTIVE sports bra that isnt $80. -_- and I also have a hard time finding LONG enough workout sweats, I almost always have to go to mens departments. I don't mind this, but you know, would prefer to be able to find some cute womens ones! Even with it being cold out these days i still almost always wear leggings/capris or shorts to the gym. So I freeze sometimes! im also looking for COMFORTABLE workout shirts, I like the ones with encouraging sayings and tag lines on them but have been unable to find any in the plus sizes (not junior plus..). (think Nike, Old Navy etc) I have a hard time wearing my fitted tanks because I hate my arms.
I love going to the gym, but until more weight comes off Im also super sensitive to how I look because I don't want to get weird stares from people lol. besides, no matter what people go to the gym for, i realize everyone is there to be healthier..and arent usually judgemental..but at the same time..you want to be comfortable in your own skin and what you are wearing while working out. Right?
Just curious what everyone else out there in my situation (tall and fluffy) has managed to find. Thanks! :flowerforyou:

I actually found some sweats at Wal-Mart. They are a little long for me, so they may fit you well. (I am only 5'7") They are not cute, though. They are just gray pants/sweats/whatever you call them. I have capris from LB that I LOVE.....but if I'm going to workout outside I probably would not wear them. I'm fine in the gym, because it's warmer in there anyways and I get hot working out. LB (at least in my area) was having a buy 2 bras, get 2 free sale. They have them pretty often. I find their sports bras are AWESOME. I had bought one a while back, but recently bought 2 more this weekend. =P
Don't forget! Who cares what you look like at the gym! At least at mine, nobody cares. I am one of the bigger people there, but we all smile as we pass each other and that's it. Everyone is at the gym to get their own burn, not to worry about other folks. (At least, at a good gym like mine.) I understand about wanting to be comfy, though. =P I just wear my *now baggy* plain gray sweats and a t-shirt. After I lose 100 lbs I can look cuter. ^_^
Sorry I couldn't be anymore help. OH! LB was also having a buy 1 get 1 free sale on activewear. I've never worn that stuff, though. I fear their stuff isn't as good as it used to be, if that makes sense. Just a certain pair of work outs pants that they have. They are pricier, but I usually get them on sale. And they are worth it.0 -

Check Zappos. When I was first starting out and generally wearing a 2X, I got some great items on sale in sizes that fit and look good -- I'm 5'10" with very long legs. I lost so much weight that I couldn't wear some of the pieces anymore, and was reluctant to give them up just because they were so comfortable, performed so well, and, frankly, looked good. At least I could give them to a friend who is just beginning to get moving.
I've become a fan of good workout clothes. Sure, I could wear some over-large raggedy cotton tshirt, but I feel and look better in the performance fitness clothes (wicking is a good thing both in the summer and winter). So, screw it, I bought some doggone nice workout clothes. It wasn't a waste of money for me on any level -- and has helped me lose so much weight that I've had to spend money on a new wardrobe of just regular clothes.0
