Intake ratio for weight loss

What is the correct ratio for losing weight. I was told veggies should fill half my plate. Should my protein intake percentage be large than my fat intake percentage or vice versa? Omg I'm so confused!

    The only 'must' for weight loss is your calories in must be less than your calories out. How you allocate between food groups is largely preference.
