Fibers and Macros

Not sure whether that question has been asked and answered yet, but do you count fiber as carbs?
Technically fibers are carbs, but as the body can't really use them for energy production or anything else I wonder if that counts.
As I am hungry when my stomach is not well-filled, I consume quite a lot of fiber (mainly glucomannan and inulin, but also a high amount of non-starchy vegetables that contain a lot of fiber). Does that count as carbs when calculating macros? In MFP it shows up as carb, but I am not sure whether that counts. Anyway, MFP calculates macros based on their consumption in grams, however if basing it on the amount of calories coming from each macro than fibers would not matter, right?

it's a grey area and can depend on how the food is labeled and calculated.

But in actuality, no I wouldn't count fiber grams as "carbs" when considering % of calories from carbs.
