FitBit strapped to belt?

I'm looking at getting the Fitbit Flex or force. I know they make models that you can clip to your belt, bra, etc but I am wondering if I would get accurate data strapping a Flex or Force in my belt or belt loop. The majority of the time I would wear it on my wrist but I would like this option if its inconvenient to wear it on my arm.

I'm not sure how the motion may differ of if anyone has tried this. Thanks in advance for the info.
