Surprise Food Day!!

I'm leaving my current employer this week and my team got together and threw me a surprise food day today. I walked in and there were cookies and doughnuts, and bars and bagels and home made soups.....so much!
This is what I did. I said "Thank YOU!" I mean really how nice is that right? People show appreciation, thanks and good bye with food. After I said my thanks then I ate some!!!
The old me would have said "how am I going to not binge and I have to keep in my 1200 calorie range of eating clean? Oh no!!
Now I'm thinking...."Oh yea baby, I can have whatever I want of this luscious food and fit it into my 1900 calorie day and I know I will STILL keep losing weight"!
What a difference time makes. It is really because I got on MFP, learned many things from the people here and finally learned how to create a sustainable eating plan for ME.
If you are new, if you struggle, just hang around MFP for a while, know what works for you and those pounds will come off!!

That is so great! You have shown that you have really made this something you can sustain - for life! Not only were you able to eat what you wanted, you also didn't have to deal with the discomfort of eating light and bringing attention to yourself on a "diet". A big congratulations to you for not seeing food as bad, and enjoying yourself. :drinker:0

Victory!
Many dieters rigid with their thinking would have caved. They'd go into it with hopes of eating none of it or staying within their 1200 calorie allotment and they would have come out the other side having gorged until they were ready to puke. Depravity does crazy stuff to your perceptions and emotional hunger!0 -
