Seltzer... Count in water count?

I've been drinking flavored seltzer water since I've been working to break my diet coke habit. Since all it is is essentially carbonated water, can I count it in my water count for the day?

I say yes. But is it full of artificial sweeteners and stuff like that? If it is, it's not any different, really, than diet coke. (sorry)

Nope. No artificial sweeteners or anything. Essentially it's no different from adding lemon and lime to water...just carbonated.

edit to add: I actually got the seltzer idea from Bob Harper (the "nice" one on TBL). He suggested it when he did a "quit soda" challenge on his facebook page. So I'm pretty sure it's ok.

Just make sure that the water you are drinking doesn't contain a bunch of sodium (like Perrier) ... well it's not a bunch but it is some. I drink Crystal Geyser sparkling water which is flavored and really yummy. It gives you the fizzies that most people miss when drinking plain water v. soda.

Good job on kicking the habit. That diet soda is horrible :(
