Anyone training for 1/2 marathon or marathon?

I will aim to do around 12+ races this year. I have already signed up to 3 10k races, a HM and and a marathon and know of about 6-7 more that I will definitely sign up for later in the year.0

I am! I live in South Korea at the moment. Plan to do another half before I move from here. I am also training for something called a "climbathon". It's a run/hike through the mountains. It's approximately 10 K and it's in April.

I'm training for a half. And then my second full.
I'm pretty much always training for a half, but I like races and seeing new places.
I'm coimng abck from 2 months off at this point. (Off running, not training in general)0 -
Provided I don't hurt myself (again) or have sciatica issues (again) I'm going to try for my first half in September. It's a small local race here in boonieville, Appalachia hosted by the local Amish community.0

I did the Rock N Roll DC half last year and am doing it again this year! I really liked it, get a nice view all through the city with just one major hill, the rest felt very flat. I ran it in 2:13 last year and am hoping to hit around 2 this year.
I am also doing the Indy 500 Mini (half) marathon in May. In the fall I will possibly do the Army 10 Miler again or maybe start looking at marathons.0 -

Been looking at doing the Hypo Half in Feb which will be my 6th Half.

I really liked the hal higdon training plans! I have some friends who have really liked training with a 10 & 1 plan (10 min running and 1 min walking). You have plenty of time to train up if you get started soon. Best of luck!0 -

I'm toying with doing a half. I did one in 2009 and swore I would never, ever do another one because I loathed training for it. I love running, really and truly enjoy it however the training made me want to throw my running shoes in the garbage. What's making me possibly rethink doing one is the fact that I'm going to be training for a duathlon that's in May and I figure as long as I'm training for one event why not roll it into another one? Plus it would force me to exercise even when I don't want to and keep my goals in check (ie: limiting booze consumption during the week).
Again, I'm not 100% positive I'm going to sign up for it (it's not until October so I have time to think about it). I know that if I did I'd be going it alone because I'm fairly certain my husband wouldn't want to do another one.0 -
