Does having more muscle make you smaller pant size?

Can having more muscle make you fit into smaller jeans? People my height and weight say they wear 1 to 3 sizes larger pants than me. Ive been working out for 3 yrs.

    yes.

if you are the same weight as someone else but have more muscle and less fat you will be smaller than them. body composition is a huge factor in your actual size

This is why its very effective for those underweight or close to gain muscle to get more lean. You need muscle to have definitely.

Also, keep in mind bone structure and genetics effect the size you wear. If you have naturally wide hips, then you probably never would wear a 1-3 size.
