1. Can it be done?
2. Anyone here managed it?
3. Got some photos to share with us fatties?

I started out @ 262 lb, 9/11/11, but don't have a good starting pic, first pic is after losing 42 lbs already.
Still have a little leaning out to do, but not much, 1-2%. Not in a rush though, looking to get to 205-ish at the same time.
Look at you, like superman! Seriously. Studly.0 -
Wow now thats amazing great job0

That is one phenomenal transformation! Congratulations!!0 -
waldo56 that is an awesome transformation. Lost for words...
I especially like how your ticker reads "0lbs to go" :drinker:
I reached my "weight loss" goals in late spring 2012, having lost 75 lbs (low pt of 187 lbs).
Since then I've been bulking-cutting, and have gained about 20 lbs of muscle and lost an additional 15 lbs of fat (been as high as 203 lbs and as low as 186 lbs).
MFP doesn't have a ticker for weight gain, what I have is about as close as you can get, it can't do negative numbers for pounds to go and just says 0. Though I do need to adjust it as my current goal wt is 199 lbs and I'm 194 lbs at the moment.
I remember you saying you had loose skin but at no point do I see you having any, at least in the pics posted.0 -
Very possible - dedication, knowledge and consistency will get you there.
17% is a rather good BF% you start getting the definition of the abs between 12% and 10%
Not sure howe he came up with that percentage at his height and weight.
Run his numbers in the standard BMI Calculator and here's what it shows...
BodyFat
He's right on the edge of overweight and obesity at 29.4 BMI.
General rule to thumb is 10-12% BF% for abs to pop out. Agreed that those numbers vary from person to person however that is the target that is mainly looked at when ever guestimating / setting targets.
I personally do not use BMI as in my books it is a complete tool.
The method is not accurate as it does not take into consideration bone density, fat mass and lean mass, which vary for every person whether they are slim or obese.0 -
Wow....you look soooooooooooooooooooooooo good. Congrats on the major transformation!0

I'm currently at 17% body fat, 86Kg, 1.71m tall
I did it and I didnt eat very healthy either. I just gave up soda, ran every day and did 100 crunches holding an 8lb medicine ball. see my profile pics for proof0 -
Yes, it can be done. I lost nearly 50 pounds and carried most of my weight on my belly (I looked like I was 6 months pregnant and had large moobs!)

Thanks man, the hard work is worth it in the end. I have been maintaining now since April 2012 and still use the site daily. I went from a 35" waist to a 28" waist but my trousers hung under the beer belly!0 -

I was actually leaner before, and the abs popped a bit more, but decided to work on getting a little stronger, and gain a couple of pounds. Feel much at my current weight, actually.
First pic, 177 lbs (taken on December 27, 2012), second 147 lbs. (taken on January 7, 2014).0 -
ha ! I agree.0
