How bad it is for your diet if you're going over on carbs, but not calories? By going over on carbs, I mean by like 60ish grams.

  • In my experience it can depend on what type of exercise you are doing. If you are doing mostly cardio, it shouldn't affect it too bad.
    If you are lifting lots of weights, I would try to lower the carbs by replacing the high carb foods with high protein.
    Carbs and sugars alter the glycogen levels that your body stores. Glycogen is the form of sugar or energy that your muscles use when running, lifting or exercising. High carbs can alter the glycogen levels by raising them higher than what you actually need.
