So since starting this NEW journy of losing weight I have been going to the gym everyday first two days SUCKED lol. Then I got use to it more now im back at hurting really bad. I was told to take a day off so I did, woke up this morning HURTING and I didnt really do any new exercise. Or for any longer. So how often do you take a day off and do you relax any kind of way? I heard saunas are good for muscle relaxation.
Usually I just bubble bath it

I take one day off a week. If I had the time for it, I would definitely do Sauna because that also really helps your pores. I also used to be an athlete so I definitely have the mentality of "working through" soreness. So beyond continuing working out that's all I've got, hahah0

Hot hot bath....0

When I started out, I would have a "hard" workout one day, then a "soft" workout the next, and alternate between the two, with one day off each week. I'm on a running program, so my hard days were running and my soft days were a long-ish walk (about an hour). Lately I've been slacking a bit (I know, bad...) but I always make sure I don't have two hard workouts back-to-back. As for relaxing, I usually just sit in my comfy chair, put my feet up, and watch TV... although a sauna visit would be nice!0

On my off days (weekends...I work out Monday thru Friday) I stretch. I've found some good stretches that make me feel great, and while I may not lose weight over the weekend, I'm not gaining either. Also, after my workout, I like to take a cool shower. Cools me down really well.0

I have a home gym and a steam sauna. I work out and then relax in the steam sauna for 20 minutes.0

I normally walk at least every day and stretch, if the muscles are sore the best thing to do is move around some. Hot bath then a cold shower helps bring down muscle inflamation as well.
a good workout usually energezies me so I do what I feel like doing after a quick shower.0 -
I always just have a hot bath and a cup of tea after a hard workout.0

I have a hot tub that works really well , I also get massages every 2 weeks this helps alot and I try to take 1-2 days off a week0

I take the hottest shower I can handle, then kick my feet up and watch TV or read a book or magazine.0

Hot shower and TV for an hour then bed.
I work out after I get home from work and after going to the dog park with the pup, so it's usually between 6 and 7pm.0 -
After every work out at the gym I use the sauna for at least 10 min. Feels so goood!0

I work out in the morning, before work, so as far as relaxing right after I work out, I don't. I take a shower and get ready for work. I am usually still sweating (as my work out right now is Insanity) when I get dressed, which I find disgusting!! But it is what it is. I usually walk on my off day. I wake up stiff and sore, but once I start working out it is usually ok.

Same here. Workout in the morning, drink protein shake, take shower, roll on to work. I take a rest day once a week, usually on Sunday.0

The last time I had a sauna after a tough workout, I nearly passed out!! Be careful with that. You can be a lot more dehydrated than you think. :noway:
I think a massage would be good. Or a jacuzzi/hot tub. Nothing to hot or too cold IMO. Your body can only take so much!!
On your day off, you can just do...................I just do..................nothing!
Good luck :flowerforyou:0 -
Oops - I didn't even read your post, haha! Here are some more answers:
I usually work out 6 days and rest whenever I feel like I'll be too busy to work out or I just get too flat out tired. On my rest day, I just do what I normally do.
If you're hurting as bad as you are, I know you're not getting enough protein. You should be at 25-30% and you change that by going to My Home / Goals / Change / Custom. Try to hit that goal and you might not be as sore!0
