Dieting with digestion problems

I have acid reflux and dieting with it has definitely been a learning experience. To start: I changed my eating habits: I had to find what is easily digestible for me, which meant: No tomatoes, no oranges, no ketchup, no raisins, no beans, no tomato sauce, no grapes, no cheese, no beef, no pork, minimize coffee, minimize chocolate, minimize grains, no sushi, no dairy (except yogurt). All of this was explained to me by my dietitian. It was a hardship to say the least.
So basically, you have a salad without cheese, raisins, tomatoes, or beans. Drink no more than one cup of coffee per day, drink lots and lots of water, yogurt helps for a snack.
You get used to it, but you still have to monitor your food. Juicing helps, it has been my best friend actually. Whenever I think I am going to have a melt down and feel like I can't eat anything anymore (because the dietitian and doctor constantly remove little items you love from your diet), it's right there waiting for me.
Lastly, once I learned this, losing weight was no longer an issue. I do circuit training mostly, power walk, and eat food that will go right through me. However, be careful with the right through you part. You should watch your bowel movements and if D comes along you may have to include some kind of bread.
Off topic: I am considering going to get a colon cleansing using the machine. Anyone ever try it?
