From the time you started how long was in until you really started to see results.

I started to see a drop on the scale right away, but it was 20 pounds before I noticed a change in the mirror.

But it's tough to compare your weightloss to anyone else's. We all start at different weights with different body types, different routines, different challenges. Everyone's journey will be different.

I didn't jump on the scale for a month after I started...and I had lost ten pounds if I remember correctly..for months afterward I was losing about 10 lbs. a month. I was and still am a big woman. But I'm getting smaller! :)

Don't give up. I noticed it within a couple weeks..just a small difference in my face..then a month loose pants. Wasn't long after that people were noticing around me. I'm constantly amazing people when they haven't seen me for a month. Right now, my weight is stalled but I'm still losing inches. Don't let the scale fool you! Dropped almost two pants sizes and only saw the scale move about 5 lbs. in that time.

Give it time and don't starve yourself. It's a war not a battle. There are many battles in a war. The end result is worth it! :)

I didn't really start "seeing" results until I actually started feeling results. I was so focused on getting healthier, looking good was of a secondary concern to me. Once I was able to run, do the elliptical, walk up the stairs to the 3rd floor of my condo, etc without feeling exhausted and out of breath, I began to notice my pants were a lot looser and I wasn't repulsed by looking at myself in the mirror as much as I was used to. :)

My suggestion is to focus on feeling good, gaining energy, etc and the "looking good" part will fall into place.

30 pounds to see a change in the mirror. at 60 pounds now i see a bunch of little changes, like seeing more of the car seat when im driving. that is such an awesome NSV> it makes me smile everytime. i still dont like to wear smaller clothes because im used to wearing baggy clothes. if they are too fitted i feel like i havent lost a pound. lol. people are noticing more at 60 pounds id say. one day at a time. one pound at a time. you'll get there. life is to be enjoyed and lived. don't try to fast forward to get your results. you'll miss the fun part. in the beginning i would say i know im going to get where i want to be i wish i could just fast forward to it. but now i look back at every day and think im glad i didnt (not that i could've) but im glad because in these past 5.5 months i've learned so much. and this is for life. enjoy the ride.

36lb down and I *finally* saw a change in the mirror today. Actually did a double-take in the full length mirror at work. Then tried to get a surreptitious photo, but was stymied by lots of folk suddenly wanting the bathroom. *sigh* Have noticed a change in my fitness levels before that and clothing is definitely getting looser. I had started to think I'd have to go with the tiny changes (no more crease in one of my double chins, finally being able to get into a pair of work pants that has been hanging in my wardrobe for 10 years).
