You can use the "create" under my exercise tab and use this to calculate calories burned with P90X:

  • Best way to log P90X is to use a heart rate monitor and then create and exercise and log the actual calories that you burned! Only way to get an accurate amount of calories burned! :D
  • I agree. At http://p90xcalories.com/ you can pick a specific dvd/exercise, input your current weight, workout minutes and your intensity level. It provides a pretty accurate calculation of how many calories you burn.

You can also try this website, http://www.90daybuddy.com. It allows you to track you monthly progress, your reps and weights. It too calculates your calories burned based off completing the entire, main workout (Not Including Ab Ripper X), your age and weight and average heart rate. I find it is within 1% of my wahoo fitness program which also uses my weight, age and actual heart rate throughout the workout to calculate calories burned.

Its free and the best part is you can print out workout sheets to track your progress. The workout sheets will include the reps and weights you did in the previous workout which is a great help in remembering what you did and what did and did not work for you.

Feel free to ad me as a friend. I find its easier to workout and stay motivated with people doing the same, like minded things. I am starting week 4 on tuesday and its been working greta. Weight is coming off slowly but body is definitely changing in size.

With a heart monitor is best. You can add any exercise you want and name it whatever you want..

I'm trying to figure this out now. I entered the P90X workout as a custom workout (shoulders and arms) and used the P90X calorie calculator site, but I still can't figure out how to enter the actual calories burned into MFP and get credit for them. All it seems to let me enter are sets and weight, but no calories burned?

You log it under cardio not strength training.
