" I just have to be very careful not to get frustrated and depend too much on the scale."

I hear you!! I am so familiar with that little trap.

    Well done!

Awesome job. I did the same thing lost 20lbs put it back on now trying to lose it again plu the additional 30lbs I never got off. I'm focusing on my accomplishment of losing 6lbs so far and trying not to look back.

And then my drivers license won't be a big, screaming lie. :)

Shhh! Don't let them know we do this. I don't want scales at the DMV.

Great job! Do this for you. The scale will follow:bigsmile:

PS - I plateaued about 87 times over my weight loss journey... don't ever give up. It will just drop all the sudden for no reason. So keep with it.

    AWESOME!

Then one day last May, something changed. It just clicked, and I started making real changes. Most significantly, I ate less. Not really different, just less. I still go out to eat. I still eat carbs, even the satanic white ones. I just make sure that if I go over my calories one day, I cut back the next.

you know - i just said this to my sisters the other week. one of muy sisters was venting about "so sick of having to count calories for the rest of my life". and i said, yes, if you want to lose the weight and maintain then yes but it's not that "the skinny people" don't count calories; they do; they just do it more instinctively and out of habit than obsessively (like we do). IOW - they will eat "something more than usual" at one meal, and then subconsciously cut calories at the next meal, without really thinking and obsessing about it.
