FitBit - is it with holding out to get the Force (Australia)

Hi all
I've been looking at getting a fitbit for a while and I'm just wondering if it is worth while holding out until the Force
Is released in Australia? Is it going to be much different from the flex?
Or am I better off getting the non-wristband versions?
I've read so many reviews that I'm now confused. (Plus some of them were a bit dated!)
Cheers

There are pros and cons with the different fitbit devices but if you find the right one for you, you will love it!
I started with a One but found myself forgetting to change it from my daytime clothes to my workout clothes when I worked out or vice versa. I lent it to my daughter who ended up throwing it in with the wash. End of the One. For us, a wristband seemed the way to go.
I have had a flex for several months now and love it. It's accurate for my stride and totally motivates me. I take it off once a week to charge it and otherwise wear it 24/7. It is waterproof and I don't need to take it off to shower. I have access to a computer during the day and sync it numerous times to follow my progress. The sync with my Android phone is hit or miss. Sometimes it's great, sometimes I can't get it to sync on demand. I use the sleep function every night. There isn't really anything eye opening about it, I usually already know when I've slept poorly. The silent alarm is wonderful, it's a much gentler way to wake up than an alarm.
The Force has the advantage of displaying all of your parameters on the band no matter where you are. Its a bit wider than the Flex but still not huge. I had actually preordered one here in the States but cancelled my order when I read the (very) fine print and discovered it isn't waterproof. The user guide is available on the US website and states that while it is "rain and sweat proof" it should not be worn in the shower or while swimming. That was the deal breaker for me as I wanted something completely carefree. One other note, the Force tracks all of the same measurements as the Flex with the addition of stairs climbed, if that is important to you.
I really love the whole concept of the trackers. I find myself much more aware of my activity levels and strive to keep my fitbit happy! I highly recommend the line and hope you find one that works for you.0 -
Thankyou so much for your reply. I didn't know the Force wasn't showerproof! Showerproof means more
To me than a stair counter. I always have my phone on me so for real time info I guess I don't need it on the actual strap itself -
So the Flex sounds ideal.
Thanks again :-)0
