Just wondering how many chess players are on here?

I'm an avid chess player and am active in the 45/45 League on ICC, where my team is headed to the playoffs this season, and play occasionally on chess.com

I've noticed that since working out and keeping things going my mind has been sharper, and I'm taking in information much better. Especially the retention of various lines etc.

To the point, I just beat an IM (International Master) in a 15/0 time control game and really wanted to share, so I put it in a blog post on Chess.com

If you play, friend me, and let me know where you play!

I'd say yes I know how to play chess but since I don't understand 1/2 of what you wrote I'm obviously not at that impressive level. I know what way the pieces are allowed to move but absolutely no strategy behind my plays. Good luck to you!

LOL, well, moving the pieces is half the battle!!

As for the jargon, basically, 45/45 or 15/0 are the time controls for the game, meaning that you have a total of 15 minutes with 0 seconds added with each move, or 45/45 means you have 45 minutes for the game, but 45 seconds are added to your clock each move.
