My son & exercise makes everything better!

1) I started out Monday morning having a really bad day... home, work, life, etc.; it was just a tough morning! I felt depressed and just wanted to go back home and hide under the covers! Lunch break rolled around and I headed to the gym to let off some steam. Man! I walked out of there feeling great! Refreshed, energized; like the entire morning never happened!
2) Last night, during and after dinner, I started feeling pretty lousy... headache, super tired; just not myself. I went to lay down in bed for awhile to rest my eyes and when I got up, my husband was loading our son into the stroller to head out for run. He asked if I wanted to go too. But, there was just no way I was going to be able to run with my head hurting like it was. But, my son (he's 2), kept saying, "come!", "Mama come!" How could I say "no" to that?? So, my husband put some air in the tires of my bike that I hadn't touched for probably the last 7 years. It wasn't strenuous exercise my any means, peddling along side them. But, just getting outside and getting my heart rate up that tiny bit made me feel 1000x better! Headache was gone and I felt energized again! AND I got to spend some nice quality time with my family!!
So, I'd like to encourage everyone.. on those days that you just feel tired or lazy or not feeling well emotionally, try to get in some little bit of exercise and get those endorphines going! You might be surprised by how much better you feel afterward!

You are absolutely right! When I don't make it to the gym, we all go for a walk together as a family! Or play Wii Fit!0

Yes, I love doing something with my family. It's just fun and doesn't seem like exercise! :happy:0
