need some advice - started going to the gym about 3 times aweek and drinking about 4 bottles of 500ml water - and I gained I know its was only 0.5lb but a little disappointed - is this normal !!!

Yes it is very normal...
When you start an new exercise program your body will hold onto water to help heal the muscles.0 -
yes it's normal! No fear it'll go back down. If you don't track measurements I might recommend that since it helps put it out there for you to see also. I do mine every 2 weeks and seeing that moving when my weight wasn't kept me going0
