Anyone Have a Bad torn Calve Muscle and lost weight?

Hi I lost 71lbs in 2012 in Sept 2013 I badly tore my calve muscle I couldnt walk for 4 weeks I sadly regained 36lbs

I have 70lbs to goal but cant exercise so much anymore I wondered how many people lost 1-2lbs a weeks with limited exercise? I do 2 zumba classes a week and try and walk for an hour a day

Thanks

Zumba and walking are great exercise. For strength training you could do upper body weights while seated or lying, and you could do leg exercises that don't focus the calf muscle, like leg lifts.

But exercise is not required for weight loss. It just makes it easier by burning more calories (and keeps you healthy). Just stay within your calorie goal.

Log your food, which it seems that you are not doing in a consistent manner, eat at a deficit and the lbs will melt away regardless of how much or how little you exercise.

I'm sorry to hear about your injury. I have a recent tear in a hamstring and it sucks not being able to exercise.

For the time being you will need to decrease your intake. If you gained 36lbs since september, then that was 2.2lbs per month, so you need to cut down 2000 cals a week (from what you've been doing while gaining to maintain your current weight. Or Cut even further do lose weight. Depends on your goals and your height/weight now.

Definitely do some physio, these injuries can be reovered, just keep working hard at it and until you can get back into the exercise, focus on your diet.
