Best Protein Powdder- Opinions?

I am looking to try a new protein powder for variety. Currently I use MusclePharm Cookies and Cream and LOVE it... I could buy it again but I'm just curious what other types are out there that people enjoy.
I am looking for positive reviews on taste, consistency/mix-ability, and how well it cooks (if you've cooked with it... like pancakes, brownies, etc.)
Edit- awesome typo in my heading, haha woops.

I really like syntha-6 strawberry. I use it 99% of the time for smoothies which are incredible - almost creamy tasting (usually just powder, blueberries and a banana). It mixes really well and doesn't give too 'goopy' of a texture if you know what I mean.
I haven't cooked with it, although my boyfriend has made protein pancakes with it which he likes.0 -
Optimum nutrition gold standard natural 100% whey - chocolate. Tastes great to me and it's sweetened with stevia instead of sucralose. Fewer artificial sweetners in my diet is always a plus. It mixes fine with water or almond milk in a shaker, never had any clumping/big globs to choke down. It's not gonna taste as sweet at first because your taste buds are used to how overly sweet sucralose is but you get used to it really fast.0

Gold Standard Whey Double Rich Chocolate is my usual, because it mixes fine with water for convenience but still tastes good (and is quite good with milk, actually).
I recently tried Truetein samples and LOVED Cinnabun and Banana Cream. Both were awesome.0 -
Bump to read later:
I'm also wondering if anyone has tried any banana kinds? I love banana but am hesitant to buy an entire container...wish they had sample packs
We currently use GNC Whey protein but I can't remember exactly which kind it is, but I think it's the Extreme 60. I know it has a black package but they have 2-3 different kinds. I can tell you the guy at the store recommended it for taste and mixability and he was right - it tastes good and mixes easily. We have the chocolate and the strawberry at home.0 -

I love the syntha-6 whipped vanilla cream! I just started incorporating it into my diet and can't be happier. I have tried other protein powders (I have a can of Trader Joes Hemp protein vanilla - never even got passed the smell in the can). This one smells like cake batter and tastes like a milkshake. I mix it into my breakfast smoothie with berries, spinach & avocado - tastes like a berry milkshake. They have other flavors I would like to try as well so if anyone else has tried them let me know!!0 -
I like Jay Robb Egg White Protein Powder. I am currently using the vanilla flavor and like it a lot, but I am looking forward to trying the other flavors too.0

Optimum 100% Gold Standard. I use Extreme Milk Chocolate and the Strawberry. You could even mix this stuff with a spoon if you wanted to. Taste is right on, even with water. My favorite from Optimum is the Mocha Cappuccino. Holy Crap that stuff is amazeballs.
I also use BSN Syntha-6 on occasion, but it's way higher in cals and carbs than ON's Gold Standard. I generally stick to ON when cutting and BSN when bulking.0 -

Any banana I've tried has been terrible.
Also, as far as GNC goes, you're wasting your money IMO. If you're that concerned about leucine intake (which is really the only reason to use E60), just buy a leucine supplement. ON makes E60 for GNC, so you could basically get *nearly* the same product for far less money.0 -

I know that GNC is way more expensive than a lot of other brands. Which is why we are looking to switch it up. However, my husband (who drinks them more than I do) appreciates the flavor and the mix-ability of the GNC. Not enough to purchase again for the price - but obviously some people are willing to pay more for the products. I actually bought the powder trying to be a good wife and now I realize how overpriced it is.
I'm not concerned about Leucine intake I have no idea what that is, btu thank you. I know enough to be healthy but have never been a huge protein powder girl - I enjoy it but not enough to know everything. In fact, I just started serious lifting a month or two ago and used to juse use it on occassion for a meal replacement (mixed with yogurt etc) or after a long, hard speed workout run. I'm looking forward to learn more.
I think I saw the Optimum brand at the store the other day (? though I could be very wrong) and was considering trying it. Maybe I'll put that on our list!
Thanks for the info0 -
I have tried the Dymatize Elite XT and like that one. The Chocolate Fudge is particularly good and I mixed it with Matcha Green Tea powder,Lactose Free Milk and Seedless Cherries. Also if you like Banana their banana nut one isn't bad either with that I mixed it with Matcha,Lactose Free Milk and Fresh Banana. Right now I wanted to try a different one myself because I had tried all the Dymatize Flavors and I tried the Trutein Cinnabon one and am mixing it with Matcha and Cold Coffee. It kinda tastes like a Cinnabon Shake if you like coffee drinks that one is pretty good but the Cinnamon in it is definently pretty strong so be sure to keep that in mind with that one. I like both of those probably equally as well. My favorite is probably the Dymatize Elite XT Choc Fudge one with Cherries in it but the Trutein is pretty good also.0

They do carry some ON at GNC, but you'll get waaaay better prices online. Bodybuilding.com for starters - they usually have pretty good deals on ON stuff.0 -

My husband like this as well.
Yesterday I got a sample of Level 1's Ice Cream Sandwich flavor. Haven't tasted it yet, but it smells wonderful.0 -
