852 calories remaining for today

I exercised a lot today and used my new heart rate monitor to track calories burned, then cut the NET calories off for a better more accurate reading. my daily goal is 1380 and I've eaten 1451 calories, with 923 calories burned and have a NET of +528. Is that substantial enough to keep the metabolism going and not Plateau?

Is this a regular scenario? Are you hungry? Are you meeting your macros?

Looking at your diary, you ate 1100 calories yesterday and are at 1400 today. If you exercised a lot, it wouldnt hurt to eat more!

Enjoy the benefits of exercising by fuelling your body with food you enjoy :)

for the last 6 months I've been eating about the same amounts every day basically, just keeping track of what I ate in portion sizes, not so much the calorie values. Since I started using this site again, I realized I was not eating enough at all. That's why I've upped it.

I dont know what Macros are?

Right now, I am not hungry what-so-ever. I just finished eating

First you need to find out your TDEE which you can get here: http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/.
This will let you know how many calories/macros you need to consume daily in order to maintain, lose fat, or gain muscle. I'm assuming your BMR is going to be at least 1600 calories which is the amount of calories you need for your body to do all of its functions. 528 is too low in my opinion and you will need to eat more!

oh and I'm not saying 1600 IS your BMR, I'm just saying your BMR is probably higher than what you're eating.

Macros are protein, carbs and fat.. What is usually tracked on MFP.

On a high workout day, it would probably be beneficial to ensure you eat what is recommended by MFP for all three values.

Its great that you have upped the calorie targets, but are you hitting it consistently?

That is for a woman. For a man, your net needs to be higher.

Don't be afraid to eat back some of those calories you burned through exercise. I usually don't eat all of them back, but your body does need that nutrition after you've ransacked it with a heavy workout!

I think you should definitely up your calories a bit. I started out at about the same weight as you (according to the info on your ticker) and never ate below 1700 calories net. I was able to lose weight at a steady pace. My BMR was around 1750 or so, and my TDEE ended up around 2400 with the exercise I was doing. Throughout my weight loss, I ate back a majority of my exercise calories, although I would use an online calculator with my HRM to determine net burns.

it all depends on the individual, but that might be an average recommendation
