Hey guys! Question for you....we are grilling almost every night. We only use olive oil and sometimes store bought marinades. I am eating so much chicken (I hate chicken) so I am seasoning as much as possible. We marinate in zip lock bags then throw on the grill. How on earth do I cound calories for these items when we are marinating and cooking a good 2-4 meals at a time? I'm nervous I'm not recording this stuff and I don't want to hurt myself.......:blushing:

Thanks!

I usually dont because its impossible to measure how much is actually on the meat and cooks off, and the marinades I use are usually low cals, so its a freebee for me

I add how ever many cals are in a teaspoon for each piece of meat I eat.

    Yay Disney fans!! :)

I take half of what we use for the marinade. And for pre made marinades, they are usually low calorie, but olive oil is quite high, so make sure you are taking that into account.

If you're marinading multiple meals at a time, jsut take half of the total, and then divide it by however many servings are int he package, and use that. :) Good luck!!

And remember, we underestimate food calories, and overestimate exercise calories, so please make sure you're adding them!

I always do, especially olive oil because if I wasn't conscious about how much I'm using I'd use too much and while it's good fat, it's still high cal. If you're making a few meals at a time, measure it out and then divide that up between the servings when you enter it. An estimate is better than nothing.
